There are quite a few beautiful gemstones that are in the Feldspar family. I think Spectrolite is one of the prettiest and most unusual. Cabs of this quality and color are not common.

Look in the pictures at the very high quality polish and cutting on these cabs. There are some Spectrolite cabs available of lower quality and price, but the low quality cabs do not have the polish or life that a Spectrolite of high quality does. The quality difference is obvious in the photographs, and when you see them in person the differences are quite apparent.

Note: In case you are wondering the main difference between Spectrolite and Labradorite is the appearance. I know sounds obvious. But Spectrolite has a black velvet colored quality to it that really makes the colors jump out at you. Labradorite is usually transparent and towards the clear side (like jelly opal). This Spectrolite is from Finland.
