Gem Silica is a very highly prized gem, especially to the Orientals. It is basically high quality Chrysocholla that has been silicated with Quartz. This makes it a hard and well wearing stone (depending on how well it is silicated). It is pretty rare and hard to find. Most of the better mine localities that produce Gem Silica are in Arizona (copper mines).
