Natural China Ridge Blue Turquoise - $0.66/gram ($18.75/oz)
Locality: ChinaThis material is from a new mine and frankly for the price some of the best natural turquoise I have seen in a long time. This is as good, and looks like Kingman or Morenci Turquoise. If I did not know it was not from either of these old time mines, I would guess either of them. This material cuts nice blue to blue/green with some molting. There is not much matrix and a lot of this is layers, which makes it easy to cut and ideal for inlay work.
Note: This material takes a good polish, but is not as hard as some material and there is occasional pin holes. But this is good cutting and it is priced accordingly.
